Worldview Expeditions

Wild Ecologues > Worldview Expeditions

Worldview is the lens through which people see and experience the world around them.  Worldview forms the core of comprehension of our life. It determines how we experience our reality and decide finally, how we engage with it. It forms our beliefs which manifest themselves in our behavior.

It is an established fact that young people exposed to diverse social, economic and cultural context develop a more comprehensive and tolerant worldview. The world around us is changing very fast and we aim to arm young people with the rationale and context of this change. We believe this will enable them to comprehend and engage with the world more effectively.

How is our approach and aim relevant with current scenario in education?

We customize in-house and outdoor learning experiences for initiating young people on a journey to developing their own worldview. Every engagement we plan with learners is focused and precise. The change brought about by the experiences we provide are measured on recognized, mutually agreed metrics.

Our work serves the goal of the National Education Policy 2020 which says, “The aim of education should not only be cognitive development but also building character and creating holistic and well-rounded individuals equipped with the key 21st century skills.

The policy makers through the new education policy have expressed, “The Gap between the current state of learning outcomes and what is required must be bridged through undertaking major reforms that bring the highest quality, equity and integrity into the system…”.  The policy emphasizes on moving away from the culture of rote learning to real understanding and “learning how to learn”. It mentions clearly experiential learning with art-integration to be used as a pedagogic approach to make education more holistic and interesting.
